Email Notification = about 20% of the time

It's probably just me, but I'm only getting about 20% of my email notifications -- when someone replies to one of the threads I've started. Since I'm here several times a day, it's not a huge deal, but it may be for other posters.

And, YES, I always always always check the box for the notifications!

If you visit a thread before the email has been dispatched, I don't believe it notifies you...

Hmm, interesting. That's fine.

But I'm fairly certain that many of these notifications should have been sent -- as some time had passed.

If no one else is having any problems, then I wouldn't worry about it. It's not hurting me (yet).

i think it is you, gordo
:D

I've never had a problem with it....

I always get emails when I check the Email Notification box... so.. to echo applesauce... it must just be you

Oh, I'm sure it's me! Why, I don't exactly know.

Anyway, I got the notification for applesauce's reply, but not QuackHead's!

Well, I think on this forum it only sends an email to the first reply after you visited the thread. So, if you post a thread and 20 people respond before you come back, you only get 1 email. Whereas on the old forum, you'd get an email for all 20 replies.

At least that's how I've seen other vBulletin forums work.

I have VB forums on my site and as far as I know, you only get an email response if you have been to the thread after a reply has been sent. So if 50 people reply and you haven't visited the thread since, you only get one email. But I think it all depends on how the admin has set the forums up. I haven't got enough frequent posts at my forums to know how it works exactly.
